Strategic Projects (CCSP) provide funding for significant grants (up to $5,000) for unique projects or special services designed to have a long-term impact on the educational process anywhere within Chariho Regional School District. A key focus is on "improving the basics" -- reading, writing, math, science, and computer literacy. Chariho Community Strategic Project (CCSP) Grants were first offered in 2008. Typically 2-3 CCSP grants are funded annually, and this number will grow as the endowment grows. CCSP grants have a dual focus in providing: (1) support for projects that have the potential to significantly impact academic performance in the District, and (2) "in kind support" from the private sector for large, outside grants that the School District is seeking for very special projects.
