Scholarships - How to Apply

Community 2000 gives three types of scholarship awards annually.

Unrestricted Need-based Scholarship Awards

​

The Community 2000 "Need-based" scholarship award is for residents of Charlestown, Hopkinton and Richmond going on to college or additional technical training.  Award winners typically are graduating high school seniors, and the scholarship is renewable annually.

​

Culinary Scholarship Award

​

The Community 2000 "Need-based" Culinary scholarship award is for residents of Charlestown, Hopkinton and Richmond going on to college or additional technical training in the culinary field.

​

Restricted Career & Tech Scholarship Awards

​

The Community 2000 "Need-based" Career & Tech scholarship award is for residents of Charlestown, Hopkinton and Richmond who are attending CHARIHO Technical High School and who are going on to additional technical training in such fields as plumbing, electrical, automotive tech, marine technology, construction, etc.

Partnership Scholarship Awards

​

The Rotary Club of Chariho "Community Service-based" Scholarship Endowment. This scholarship is for residents of Charlestown, Hopkinton, Richmond, Exeter and West Greenwich going on to college or additional technical training.  Award winners typically are graduating high school seniors, and the scholarship is renewable annually by application. The Westerly College Club Lois Hamilton Fontaine Scholarship Endowment.  The Lois Hamilton Fontaine endowment provides need-based scholarships for residents of Charlestown, Hopkinton, Richmond, Stonington, North Stonington and Westerly who have experienced at least one semester of college or technical school training beyond high school.  The scholarship is renewable annually by application.  For more information, go to www.thewesterlycollegeclub.org
